The Heritage Tea Tour in Assam offers a captivating journey through the lush tea gardens of India’s largest tea-producing state. Visitors can explore colonial-era tea estates, witness traditional tea-making processes, enjoy guided tea tastings, and experience Assamese culture through local cuisine, dance, and folklore.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Guwahati Airport and drive to Balipara

Welcome on arrival at Guwahati  Airport/Railway Station, then we will  drive to the ‘Addabarie tea estate. On reaching, check into your room. After freshening up, enjoy evening tea. Later Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 2

Knowing more about tea

After breakfast, we will go to visit the Addabarie Tea Factory to know the whole process of tea making. In the tea factory, you will get a chance to see the full process of manufacturing like crushing, tearing and curling of tea.Later, we will return to the accommodation. Later in the afternoon, we will visit the Rangapara Monastery. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 3

Drive to Jorhat

Early morning after breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Jorhat. On arrival check in at the hotel.

Later in the afternoon visit to Tocklai Tea Research center, one of the oldest and largest tea centre in the world and is funded by the Government of India and Indian Tea Association. (Saturday and Sunday closed)After the visit of Tea research center if time permits we also visit at Cinnamora Tea estate the first tea estate of Assam.

Night stay in Jorhat.

 

Day 4

Drive to Dibrugarh(Tea City of India) via Shivasagar 

Post breakfast we will drive to Dibrugarh via  Shivsagar  which was one the capital of Ahom kings. We will visit the Shiva Dol and Shiva Sagar (tank),Rang Ghar, It remains Asia's largest amphitheatre and was the cultural playground of the Ahom Swargadeos or kings, Talatal Ghar and Kareng Ghar.

Night stay in Dibrugarh.

 

Day 5

A day in Dibrugarh

Post breakfast, take a tea tour around a tea estate .Also experience  Tea tasting session of different types of tea. Rest of the time we can spend in leisure.

Day 6

Drive to Kaziranga

 Post breakfast we will drive to the 'Land of One- Horned Rhinoceros',Kaziranga National Park, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will visit the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park which houses around 600 more varieties of wild orchids.

Overnight stay will be in Kaziranga.

(One may enjoy the Cultural Programme at the Park in the evening-6.30 PM to 8.00 pm- Upon Personal Choice- Additional Charges )

Day 7

It's time to bid adieu!

After we freshen up we will head to enjoy our Jeep Safari (either Central or Western Range).We will then drive to the Guwahati Airport for departure.
